Descending from Wolf Pass in Colorado. We stopped for gas before entering the pass at a small station in the middle of nowhere. The lady working the register took one look at me and started recounting all the accidents people had while in the pass. On the one hand, I'm hurt, on the other, she wasn't wrong about my driving.

Rather than remain trapped, We bought a car. June 20, 2023, Leanna, Jeff, and AnnaLeigh. We had no luggage, cloths,or toothbrushes. We were almost refugees, reduced to shopping in gas stations.
Funny story about the drive home. We took a detour in Kansas to see the old growth tall grass. It was 105degrees, a two hour detour, and when we arrived there was no grass. The ranger just looked at us with a confused look, "why would you have ever thought the grass would be growing in the middle of a drought?" AnnaLeigh audibly groaned from somewhere in the distance.

We Stopped for a beer and pizza. While talking to the staff, we were warned, "you may want to be off the mountain by sundown." I maintain they were talking about mountain vampires, Leanna says it was about all the deer on the curvy road with no guard rails.
