Hamburgers with fries in the bun, straws that didn't work, names that sounded the same, but were spelled wrong, hotel rooms with strange numbers of beds and doors that lead to the roofs, and a warning not to answer any knocks between midnight and four am..... we suspected the entire town of being inhabited by Wendigos.
